The Sideplate on my '57 Colt Cobra had the finish worn off, so I decided to buy a replacement. Unfortunately the plate i received did not fit my gun. The cylinder release would not fit into the slot in the plate.

I knew that Colt made one plate for early Cobras, and another sized plate for later models. I'm pretty sure I received a newer plate, which won't work on older Cobras.
